Shimano Spheros 14000
Starting at around $160 the Shimano Spheros 14000 is one of the most economical of choices. Don't expect to receive the longevity of the Stella, but for the infrequent visitor to the Canal this is a solid reel. Plenty of line capacity coupled with a spool that's conducive to super smooth casts, makes this a good choice for the beginner fisherman.
