Happening This Friday – Albie Group Fishing Trip

by Ryan Collins

Hey everyone! 👋

Captain Tyler has an opening later this week, and the weather is looking better, so we’re offering an albie group fishing trip this Friday morning.

We only have 1 spot left onboard this trip. You can click the link below to learn more and reserve your spot onboard!

Last week Tyler brought two groups from My Fishing Cape Cod albie fishing out of Falmouth and everyone had a great time.

On the first trip they caught 8 albies and on the second trip we caught over a dozen.

I was onboard for the second trip when we encountered huge schools of blitzing albies along the Elizabeth Islands.

It was awesome!

With the 36 Hour Grind Surfcasting Tournament 2 happening this weekend, I’m not sure if I will be able to personally hop onboard for this trip.

Nevertheless the crews from MFCC are always terrific and Tyler is one of the nicest and most skilled charter captains around.

I know you’ll have a great time!

So far this season we've run a bunch of group fishing trips with captain Tyler and they've all been terrific.

Here's just some of what people have been saying about their experience fishing with Tyler.

I hooked 2 albies and landed one. The tog bite was spotty, and I respect and appreciate how hard Tyler worked to get us on fish. We went from Bourne to Falmouth, then out towards Cleveland Ledge, then back to Falmouth, through Woods Hole over to the Vineyard, then back along the Elizabeth Islands and through Robinison's where we got into stripers, blues and black sea bass on the Buzzards Bay side of the Elizabeth Islands. We caught lots of blues which is always fun. My wife and I cooked and enjoyed them that night, and made a bunch of bluefish cakes for later.

I’ve been after an up north albie for 6 years, having only successfully landed a couple Spanish mackerel in my home waters of south dartmouth. I was extremely pleased to see the tie job on my 15lb leader held up catching several fish on my own rig.

Just wanted to let you know I had an awesome experience this past Saturday fishing with captain Tyler. My wife and I really enjoyed eating the catch. Thanks again!

Just wanted to give you an update on today's trip with Tyler. I'm glad we got a chance to get out there with the threat of thunderstorms today. We ending up chasing pogie schools. Then snagging/live lining  them and also fishing dead pogies. Both methods worked and we ended up catching around 10-12 fish overall. All of them slot or larger. The biggest was 37 1/2". Everyone was happy with the trip. Good day considering Tyler had to adjust his plans due to the weather. Hoping to get out there on another trip this year if more are added.

Met 2 other MFCC members and topped my previous personal best 2 times with the largest measuring 38”. Great day.

It was insane. I personally caught 26 fish. Just an epic day.

Tight lines and I hope you all have a good weekend! 🎣
