Fishing for the Mission 22 | 2nd Annual Black Sea Bass Tournament

by Ryan Collins

There's only 4 days left to register for the "Fishing for the Mission 22" Annual Black Sea Bass Tournament! The deadline for registering is midnight on May 30th. 🐟

This highly anticipated event will take place from May 31st to June 2nd. Anglers stand a chance to win from a generous cash prize pool sponsored by Kingman Yacht Center that exceeds $6,100.

But there's more...

In partnership with Maco's Bait and Tackle and Mass Division of Marine Fisheries, Fishing for the Mission 22 has launched the "22" fishing campaign. This vital initiative pays tribute to the 22 veterans lost to suicide each day, by tagging 22 Black Sea Bass for the event.

Each of the 22 tagged sea bass represents a $1,000 prize, potentially adding $22,000 to the overall winnings. The aim is to raise awareness and support the prevention of veteran suicide, while at the same time offering a uniquely challenging and rewarding fishing experience.

Awards celebration will be at the Railroad Bridge Park in Buzzards Bay on June 2nd from 12-5pm. The festivities will include a corn hole tournament, live music, an array of food trucks, and much more. This family-friendly event is open to everyone and is conveniently located right across from the new Fishing for the Mission 22 resource center.
