Our trip to Cuttyhunk was a great time.

why FISH with us?
Private charters often cost between $700-$1,800 (or more), but My Fishing Cape Cod trips help make the experience more affordable by offering spots to members on a per-person basis.
This year we'll be offering a variety of member-only trips for tautog, black sea bass, stripers, albies and tuna. We will also be bringing our members surfcasting at some of the Cape's most beautiful beaches.
We only team up with the best captains who have great fishing networks that keep them on the bite. Boats are topnotch as is all tackle and equipment. We provide all fishing rods, reels, bait and tackle.
about the captains
This year we'll once again be teaming up with captain Cullen Lundholm of Cape Star Charters. Captain Cullen has years of experience fishing the waters surrounding Cape Cod and the Islands.
In total we've run well over 100 trips with Cullen and they are always an adventure and a great learning experience for everyone onboard.
In addition, we're once again teaming up with Tyler Putney of Flatliner Charters. Tyler and Cullen are great friends, and they're like two peas from the same pod when it comes to finding and catching fish.
Both Tyler and Cullen have an extensive network which helps them stay on top of the fish day-in and day-out.
Ryan of My Fishing Cape Cod hops onboard trips whenever he can, often filming and documenting the experience to be shared on the MFCC website, social media channels, and TV show.
Ryan will also be offering a limited number of guided surfcasting trips for members throughout the season.

Just wanted to say I had a great time 🎣 with Captain Cullen. We caught a lot of stripers that day and the weather was perfect! I’d have to say that was the best fishing charter I’ve even been on. The captain and the rest of the other patrons on board were great and friendly people and hopefully get to fish with them again. I’ve learned a lot from fishing that day and hopefully become a better fishermen.
I had the trip of a lifetime with Ryan, and I would give the experience, knowledge, equipment and instructions 5 stars. I rediscovered what I love about fishing with MFCC – top-notch!
We went out with Captain Tyler and he made it fun. He let us use any technique we wanted to try.
Having the opportunity to spend several hours on the boat with Ryan was another excellent learning (and catching) experience. Ryan is an excellent teacher and he does it in such a way where you don’t feel silly for not already knowing how to do something – whether it is applying a certain technique, or simply forgetting to use your thumb to guide line back on to the reel properly. I learned 2-3 new techniques and now have a lot more confidence in my ability to find and catch fish.
We have caught fish casting plugs, live-lining mackerel, jigging and fishing live eels at night. Captain Cullen is very flexible with his approach and will do everything he can to put you on the fish. I believe Cullen gives me my best chance at catching fish and would recommend him to anyone.
I fished with Captain Cullen last year for stripers at the Monomoy Rips. Best striper fishing day I ever had.
Ryan,
We had an awesome day on the water with Cullen and really enjoyed tuna fishing. We lost one at the boat, released another and kept the one below...a fat 85” fish.
Thanks for everything!
We had a strange turn in the weather, an equipment failure, and lost a big one. But we also caught some keepers, laughed and fished with new friends, and brought home some sweet filets. Can hardly wait to do it again.
Just the experience of being out there early in the morning with the minke and humpback whales around us, the many types of seagoing birds birds hovering and diving everywhere and a great bunch of guys was phenomenal. Catching two bluefin tuna was the icing on the cake, and that was delicious indeed. Captain Cullen put us in the right spot, using the right jigs to get those beauties. What a day.
Ryan has forgotten more about fishing than many of us will ever know. He’s a student and always learning - and sharing information. His knowledge of Cape Cod - from the surf to the bays to the ocean - plus his knowledge of the species, means he’ll be able to get you on fish. You’ll come away with some great memories - but also improve your fishing skills and knowledge of Cape Cod.
Hello Ryan, your passion for fishing the waters of Cape Cod is infectious. That you took my grandson, Adam, and I to one of your "secret spots" speaks volumes about your generosity and eagerness to include others into the thrill and beauty of surf casting. The fabulous setting was enhanced by the gentle breezes and scenic sky. I especially enjoyed the nuance of reeling speed and rod action for the various types of lures. Catching and landing stripers was a bonus as the look of joy on Adam's face was a memory imprinted forever. That you took the time to capture the moments on your camera, was an additional component of the highly enjoyable adventure. A life long resident of the Cape, I gleaned so many tips from you; my grandson and I will always recall that we started this journey with you as we embark on our new hobby of surf casting.
The fishing was awesome, the people fun to be with, and the BSB dinner that night was delicious. We have more fillets in the freezer for a few more yummy dinners. Thank you for setting up these terrific charters!
Captain Tyler was fantastic. Would rebook with him in a heartbeat. The trip was great!
With Ryan, you learn nuances of timing your fishing trip with different tides and locations, as well as technique. On our trip we were rewarded with catching stripers of up to 37 inches on a beautiful stretch of beach under the stars. Cant get much better then that.
Captain Cullen worked hard to put us on fish. He was a great host with a beautiful boat. A trip I will remember for the rest of my life. Thanks Ryan for organizing these trips - you should be commended for what you do for the fishing community on and around Cape Cod.
What a great trip I had with Captain Cullen yesterday. Fishing was awesome and we were able to put a tuna in the boat with another brought boat side. We also had fish on with other missed opportunities. It was my first time hooking up with a tuna, and it was also nice meeting other members-all good guys.
Great time this morning. I got about 10 fish and other guys did as well. Couldn’t have had better weather.
Thank you so much for putting all of this together! I had a great time this morning with Tyler and the other guys on the boat. It was the best day I ever had fishing for Black Sea Bass, and I caught my largest sea bass this morning. The action was just terrific! This has been a great blessing to myself and the other guys on the boat.
When I first met Ryan he was very kind and asked us many questions so he could get to know us. He brought us to a beautiful spot where I started off with a topwater plug. At first I was not having much luck, but then Ryan hooked a fish and he let me reel it in. From there on I was on fire and I caught 8 stripers! I will never forget the last fish I caught because it was absolutely huge. I had such a great time fishing with Ryan.
Ryan - a special note of thanks to you and Cullen for a terrific fishing trip. Everyone got along extremely well and that always matters on a charter. We had to travel to find these big fish and it was great to see everyone catching such beautiful striped bass. I look forward to seeing the photos and/or video you took during the trip. Thanks again for my third successful MFCC fishing trip.
Hi Ryan - Just wanted to let you know that we had a truly awesome trip with Tyler. The top water bite was incredible and we caught so many stripers we lost count :) At one point all four of us were hooked up. Emma really had a blast on her first charter. Please thank Tyler for making this trip so memorable!
Ryan, I wanted to thank you for your recommendation of Capestar Charters. We had a great day yesterday and caught a 700 pound giant tuna. Thank you again for the experience as it made our year!
When I heard about the My Fishing Cape Cod group trips, I knew I wanted to sign up. MFCC group trips present an opportunity to experience the best fishing the Cape has to offer. Keep in mind that I already have a boat, and fish almost every weekend.
Ryan, my thanks to you and Cullen for a great trip. Cullen is a true professional and hard worker, making everything come together for a perfect adventure.I am definitely looking forward to my next group trip. It's the perfect setting to learn, fish and have a good time. Thanks for offering these opportunities.
It was somewhat of a leap of faith when my wife and I agreed to take on the MFCC 2019 trip to Zancudo, Costa Rica. It wasn’t necessarily something we would have planned on our own. Before, during, and after our departure date, Lauren and Ryan took very good care of us, setting up local travel connections in country and keeping us busy with a wide range of outdoor activities to choose from. Simply stated, we had a wonderful time. Lauran served as a gracious, thorough (and very patient) hostess, keeping us well fed and well informed. Ryan is one of the most enthusiastic fishermen I’ve ever met. And Costa Rica sportfishing is something every angler should experience, with a wide variety of trophy gamefish species available within easy access along the coastline. And with his ever-improving grasp of the Spanish language, Ryan was always there to help translate when needed.
Costa Rica features one of the most beautiful and awe inspiring ecosystems we’ve ever experienced. My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed our Costa Rican adventure, the memories of which will last a lifetime.
Thank you Lauren, Ryan, and MFCC….
Kudos to Captain Willy Hatch! Nice guy and very personable. He made the long day enjoyable and with a smile. Willy and Tyler are the type of fellows that you would want to head into a tavern and have a beer with. Both just down to earth guys. I enjoyed the trip, especially meeting with fellow MFCC members and past fishing partners. We are already planning our next fishing trips together. Well Done!
Thanks Ryan for the trip and the great pictures. It was an awesome hike and a great experience.
Amazing day yesterday. Thank you to Jimmy the Greek and My Fishing Cape Cod for helping to make this day such a success. It was a fishing trip and birthday that I will never forget.
Thanks for showing me around and sharing your knowledge. And that fatty keeper was awesome. I appreciate you slicing up some fillets for me at end of the night. Looking forward to getting out there again with you sometime. Thanks again!
Great time today. Birds all over the place and hit the stripers early and limit and then Tautog with the same results. Tylers the best.
Have to say how great my 5 charter trips were this year, split between Cullen and Tyler. It was my first time and we limited out and brought home two species on every outing. It was also so much fun getting to fish my own untested homemade lures.
I signed up for a sea bass trip with Ryan and Cullen, and we had an epic day. We launched early from Taylor Point Marina and headed out into the very foggy waters of Buzzards Bay. However it wasn't long before Cullen and Ryan had us into a continuous swath of spawning sea bass. We kept around 25 keeper sea bass, and I would say we released at least another 50. Some stripers were also caught. Overall a very successful trip. If you want to get on the fish then I would highly recommend signing up for one of Ryan's fishing trips. I will definitely be signing up for a tuna trip this fall.
Just wanted to give you an update on today's trip with Tyler. I'm glad we got a chance to get out there with the threat of thunderstorms today. We ending up chasing pogie schools. Then snagging/live lining them and also fishing dead pogies. Both methods worked and we ended up catching around 10-12 fish overall. All of them slot or larger. The biggest was 37 1/2". Everyone was happy with the trip. Good day considering Tyler had to adjust his plans due to the weather. Hoping to get out there on another trip this year if more are added.
Thanks so much for the surfcasting expedition. It was great, and I can honestly say I wouldn't have caught anything without you. And thanks for the fillets. I baked them in butter and they were delicious.
I've had many memorable trips but this one was without a doubt the best. Unbelievable is an understatement. The amount of marine life we encountered was NAT GEO worthy. I felt privileged to be so close to so many beautiful marine mammals just doing what they do. When the bluefin hit, it was for me icing on the cake. While I have fished for schoolie bluefin before, I have never been a part of a successful giant bluefin trip. Simply unbelievable, hats off to captain Cullen, he’s as good as they get.
It was insane. I personally caught 26 fish. Just an epic day.
Just wanted to let you know I had an awesome experience this past Saturday fishing with captain Tyler. My wife and I really enjoyed eating the catch. Thanks again!
Ryan and Captain Cullen had us on fish within minutes. The group and I caught our bag limit early on, but the trip did not end there. Captain Cullen brought us around Buzzards Bay as we casted for Stripers and Blues. I can’t wait for the next time I am able to hop aboard a MFCC group trip - I’d recommend these trips to anyone!
I hooked 2 albies and landed one. The tog bite was spotty, and I respect and appreciate how hard Tyler worked to get us on fish. We went from Bourne to Falmouth, then out towards Cleveland Ledge, then back to Falmouth, through Woods Hole over to the Vineyard, then back along the Elizabeth Islands and through Robinison's where we got into stripers, blues and black sea bass on the Buzzards Bay side of the Elizabeth Islands. We caught lots of blues which is always fun. My wife and I cooked and enjoyed them that night, and made a bunch of bluefish cakes for later.
Tyler got us on a ton of massive albies today! It was awesome!
I had a great time with Cullen. He kept us on the fish in the rips all morning. We caught a mix of stripers and blues as advertised, no monsters but it was really fun none stop action!
I’ve been after an up north albie for 6 years, having only successfully landed a couple Spanish mackerel in my home waters of south dartmouth. I was extremely pleased to see the tie job on my 15lb leader held up catching several fish on my own rig.
Thanks so much for organizing these charter trips. Beth and I had a great outing with Capt Cullen. It was a beautiful day and we had an extraordinary time fishing for stripers ( … Beth also caught a blue). Capt Cullen took us right to the rips and got us on fish immediately with hardly any boats in site. So incredibly smooth and efficient and we had a delicious dinner of stripers poached in coconut milk.
Captain Tyler excels at putting us on the fish!
Ryan never ceases to amaze me… there we were with water as far as the eye can see...miles and miles of secluded beach in every direction, and Ryan gets us on the fish. Nothing more fun than stripers on a fly rod! Thanks Ryan – I had a blast!
The 'tog trip was a lot of fun! We had a great group of guys, pretty decent weather, and Captain Cullen always works super hard to get you on the fish. This was my first trip of the season, so it was a good way to start the year. It's fishing time!
The discovery of MFCC led to one of the best guided fishing trips I have taken - and I've taken lots of fishing trips in the last 35 years. This was my first time fishing in Massachusetts and I feel fortunate to have connected with Ryan as I doubt there is a friendlier, more knowledgeable guide out there. Thanks again Ryan for putting me on the fish!
I've taken three trips with him this year and took limits of Tautog on an early season trip, and over 30 keeper size Stripers on my next two trips. The thing to know about Cullen, is he wants to make you happy- even if it means recommending a different date or location. Trust him, he puts you on fish, period.
Myself and 3 members went on a fantastic tuna charter with Captain Cullen. We had one of the better days of fishing Ive ever had!
Met 2 other MFCC members and topped my previous personal best 2 times with the largest measuring 38”. Great day.
Trips are currently only available to members of My Fishing Cape Cod
