I am excited to announce the second annual Snackroads ride to benefit Tommy’s Place. Tommy’s Place is a wonderful organization providing much needed Cape Cod vacation time for children with cancer.
Tommy's Place provides kids with an opportunity to make memories with their families, to play, laugh and forget about their troubles for a few days.
Currently there are two Tommy’s Place vacation homes located in Falmouth and in Centerville. 104 families are able to experience this getaway opportunity each year.
The guests are referred from 10 major childhood cancer hospitals throughout New England.
As a non-profit agency, providing these vacations at no cost to the families requires fundraising efforts and donations from those who see the value in their mission. I for one, am ALL IN!
I have always emphasized the importance of using vacations as a time to celebrate family, to make memories and to create a family culture that values time together over “stuff”.
I am eager to do anything I can do to help these families have that same opportunity.
Saturday, September 28th will be the second Tommy’s Place ride. My team, “A Holts” will ride again!
In the years my team has done the ride, we have raised a total of $3,109 for Tommy's Place. Last year we raised $771 and in 2024 my goal is to break the $1,000 mark.
As an incentive this year, I have put together a sampler box of flies.
For every $25 donated your name will be entered into a drawing to win. It contains 2 dozen flies in a flat Gamakatsu tackle box.
If you have no desire to have these flies, you can let me know and I will not enter your name.
These are all tied by myself and while I cannot guarantee that you will catch a fish with them…I can guarantee that they can catch fish! 
If you are new to fly fishing or just want to connect, I would be glad to schedule a time to get out and wet a line with the winner!
