Find Reliable Tuna Fishing Partners on Cape Cod

by Ryan Collins

For years, while running My Fishing Cape Cod, I’ve heard the same questions over and over again:

  • “I have a boat, but no crew.”
  • “I want to fish for tuna, but I don’t know anyone who’s serious about it.”
  • “How do I find reliable fishing partners?”

If you’ve ever asked one of these questions, you’re not alone.

The good news is that we've created a solution to this problem that we're implementing for the 2026 season. Continue reading below to discover the details and learn how to get involved.

Tuna Fishing Is a Team Sport

Tuna fishing isn’t a solo pursuit. Success and safety depend on having the right people onboard and access to shared intel — when chasing bluefin, knowing where fish were recently seen can make all the difference.

You need crew who can:

  • Handle large fish

  • Manage multiple rods

  • Cover water efficiently

  • React quickly when fish show

While not impossible, fishing for tuna solo is extremely difficult, not to mention dangerous. Having at least one or two capable crew members onboard is smart for many different reasons.

Why Finding the Right Crew Is Hard

Serious tuna anglers want more than extra hands. They look for reliable partners who show up, respect safety, and share the same commitment — and those people aren’t always easy to find.

Most are looking for crew who:

  • Are dependable

  • Take preparation seriously

  • Have experience or want to learn

  • Are committed to targeting tuna

The Fishing Partners Directory (New for February)

As part of the February Tuna Zoominar Series, we’re introducing the Fishing Partners Directory (a $97 value, included at no extra cost) — a structured way for serious anglers to connect.

How It Works & Live Networking

When you register, you can choose to be listed in a shared directory with other participants. You’ll be able to share key details and take part in structured networking during live Zoominar breakout sessions.

You can include:

  • Contact info

  • Boat and setup details

  • What you’re looking for

  • Experience and availability

Pricing & What Makes This Different

This directory is included for FREE when you register for the Zoominars because networking can be just as valuable as instruction. Combined with expert-led instrution and live interaction, this series offers something you won’t find elsewhere.

And don't forget! My Fishing Cape Cod members can use discount code 2026member to get $50 off Zoominar registration!

The February Tuna Zoominar series offers something truly unique for serious tuna anglers.

If you have questions about the Fishing Partners Directory or the Zoominar series, feel free to reach out.
