Cape Cod Fishing Report for Saturday April 18

Welcome to the first episode of the 2015 My Fishing Cape Cod podcast! This season I anticipate publishing these podcasts on a consistent basis, to help keep you updated with how the fishing is on Cape Cod.

In this first episode, my cousin Kevin and I interview two very knowledgeable local fishermen who will be appearing on the podcast regularly throughout the season.

These two guys are "gold mines" of information, and we are fortunate to have them contributing to MFCC.

Mako & Thresher Shark Fishing Trip

As mentioned in the podcast, I am interested in getting a group together to head south of the Vineyard this summer to fish for Mako and Thresher sharks.

This ought to be a memorable day on the water with Captain Cullen Lundholm of Capestar Charters. If the weather cooperates our odds of a hookup will be fairly good.

In-Person Canal Fishing Basics Class

Also mentioned in the podcast, is the idea of getting a group of people together who are interested in learning the basics of fishing the Canal. This class will be held in-person on the banks of the Big Ditch.

At this event will be myself, Jeff Miller from Canal Bait and Tackle, and perhaps some other knowledgeable Canal fishermen.

If this sounds interesting to you please click below and enter your first name and email, and I will send you the details as things develop.

  • surf fished for many years up plum island area but want to learn more about the the canal. Need the change. But hate to drive 100 miles and not knowing how to really conquer this area. Willing to fish at night too
