Meet Captain Cullen Lundholm: Strategic Decision-Making for the February Tuna Zoominar Series

by Ryan Collins

This February, four of Cape Cod's most well respected tuna captains are coming together to share what they know in a comprehensive 4-part Live Zoominar series on My Fishing Cape Cod.

After we cover the fundamentals with captain Phil on February 4th, the next step is applying them across different conditions and fisheries. That's where techniques meet real-world scenarios, where theory becomes fish in the boat.

That's where Captain Cullen Lundholm comes in for Session 2 of the February Tuna Zoominar series.

A Decade of Proven Results with MFCC

Cullen runs one of the most respected tuna operations on Cape Cod, with a track record built over hundreds of successful My Fishing Cape Cod group trips throughout the past decade.

His ability to consistently find and catch bluefin—from school fish to giants—has earned him a loyal following among serious anglers. He doesn't just catch fish; he's exceptional at teaching others how to do it, which is why he's become a trusted captain for both newcomers and experienced anglers alike.

Session 2: Inside Cullen's Strategic Approach

On Monday, February 9th at 7pm, Cullen delivers "Techniques and Tactics Across Multiple Fisheries"—taking Phil's fundamentals and showing you how to apply them in real fishing scenarios.

This won't be a formal presentation. This is an interactive deep dive into how Cullen thinks and makes decisions on the water.

You'll learn:

  • What he's thinking the night before and morning of a trip
  • How he reads subtle changes in wind, tide, and current to adjust his strategy
  • His decision-making process when searching for fish
  • When to stay put vs. when to move, and why
  • How he targets recreational-size bluefin specifically (though we'll cover giants too if attendees want)

Before the session, we'll poll all registrants to build the discussion around what you most want to learn. This is your chance to ask the questions you've always wanted to ask—and get real answers about the strategic thinking that leads to consistent success.

Your Complete February Education

Cullen's tactical session connects perfectly with the rest of the series:

  • Captain Phil Howarth establishes the foundation in Session 1
  • Captain Willy Hatch covers advanced tactics for south of the islands
  • Captain Tyler Mcallister explains bluefin biology and how understanding what drives their behavior will make you a more successful angler in Session 4.

Each captain builds on what you learned in the previous sessions.

The Interactive Format Makes the Difference

Two full hours. Live Q&A. Direct access to Cullen's knowledge. Plus structured networking time to connect with serious tuna anglers in your area.

Got questions about live bait presentations? Ask. Curious about when to switch from trolling to casting? He'll walk you through it. Want to know his approach for different locations? Cullen can explain it.

All four sessions will be recorded, so you can review Cullen's tactics even if you aren't able to attend the live session.
