The stripers have finally arrived on Cape Cod and we have 5 months of great fishing ahead of us. I could not be more excited!
One of the great aspects of fishing on Cape Cod (especially fishing for stripers on Cape Cod) is the diversity of different fishing experiences which the Cape has to offer.
From kayak fishing tranquil bays to surfcasting the beach, you could literally fish all season long and not do the same thing twice.
Taking advantage of these diverse fishing opportunities is my inspiration behind what I'm terming "Custom Guided Cape Cod Fishing Trips & Educational Charters."
This is something I have contemplated doing for a long time. Now that my wife Lauren and I are nearly done with renovations on our house, I anticipate having more time to run guided trips this season.
Before
After!
During these guided trips and educational charters, I want us to catch some really nice fish. However, my main goal will be to teach you specific techniques, and show you different areas, to help you become a more knowledgeable angler.
The following list includes some of the trips which I can offer you during the 2018 Cape Cod fishing season:
Custom Guided Trips & Educational Charters
The following trips are not your typical fishing charters!
A lot of charter operations solely focus on putting fish in the boat (which there is certainly nothing wrong with) but my idea behind the following trips is to teach you specific techniques, and help you get acquainted and comfortable fishing specific areas.
For boat fishing, I can offer trips to teach you:
For surfcasting, I can offer trips to teach you:
In addition, I also have more "hardcore" trips for people who are feeling extra adventurous:
Over the past 20 years I have visited and fished many unique places on Cape Cod. I have explored countless different areas and caught stripers in many diverse ecosystems, using a wide array of different strategies and techniques.
Educating a limited number of people about these unique fishing experiences is something I have contemplated doing for a long time.
Depending on what you want to do, prices will range from $75-$600 (or more) per person. I will work to create a plan that is suitable for your budget.
If you already have an idea of what you would like to do, or an area you would like to explore, then terrific! Please contact me via [email protected] and we can start discussing the details.
If you are not sure what you want to do, then just contact me and we can figure out a plan to suit your needs.

Ryan- Been coming to Eastham forever and just about to close on a second home out there. I am interested in learning the sport of surfcasting. Are you currently providing guide services for this. I enjoy a beach walk as well so not worried about the exercise.Let me know if this is something you are interested in . Thanks Jon Cohen 802 688 9383
Congrats on the house Jon! That sounds terrific.
Regarding the surfcasting trip, let me send you an email and we can chat about it.
Thanks for the comment and I’ll be in touch! ?
Would you consider doing small (2-3 people) group surf fishing lessons?
I think private guided tours run into the same problem of affordability as charter fishing does.
May be applying the same business plan to guided tours as you do with the mfcc chartered fishing could work out? Just a suggestion.
Sure, I would definitely consider that ??
I’ve already scheduled a bunch of surfcasting trips/lessons. I have an opening for May 23rd at 4AM on Lower Cape Cod if you or anyone else reading this is interested. This trip is 5-6 hours, and be prepared to walk a total of 3 miles on the beach. For this particular trip/lesson the cost is $300/person.
Of course that is just one opportunity I have available, so please feel free to send an email to [email protected] and I would be happy to work something out for your schedule/budget.
