Surfcasting Cape Cod’s National Seashore at Night during Late Summer

Uncover the General Area I Was Fishing

Members of My Fishing Cape Cod can click below to learn the general area of the Outer Cape that I was fishing in this video.

The National Seashore beaches of Outer Cape Cod are referred to by many as "the best beaches on Cape Cod" due to their miles upon miles of unspoiled natural beauty.

I filmed this video on September 2nd of 2020 and it was included as part of a past episode of My Fishing Cape Cod TV. I wanted to re-share it today because over the past few years late August and September has produced some pretty good fishing along the Outer Cape beaches for members of My Fishing Cape Cod.

I'm fortunate to have grown up on the beach, and I've been fishing since kindergarten. I have great family, friends and fishing experiences to be thankful for. Just being out there is enough-catching fish is just a bonus!

I cant access this video. The email requires I sign in. When I do I get sent to the map, nit the video. Searching for it only goes to 2022 then cycles back to all videos.
Please fix this if you continue to send out emails.

    • Hi Fitz! Thanks for the heads up about the tech issue! I do my best with technology but it’s a challenge and issues do crop up from time to time.

I took a look and I think you are having trouble accessing the map of the general area I was fishing? Here’s a link where you can view the map https://myfishingcapecod.com/general-area-seashore/

The video seems to be working OK for me. I’m able to play it without any issues. Give it another shot when you can and hopefully you’ll be able to access the map and watch the video now.

      Thanks!

  • Looks like a great night on one of my favorite stretches of beach. You have a great touch with those Swarters. The fish shown in the video were caught on the rear hook, which is unusual, any thoughts?

    • It was an exceptional night, at a beach where I’ve seen you fishing before. 😉 With regards to the rear hooked fish, I agree it’s more common to catch them with the belly hook.
