Two New Zoominar Series Coming this April

by Ryan Collins

Fishing content is everywhere these days. But there's a big difference between watching a YouTube video and sitting in a live session where you can ask professional captains and experienced surfcasters your specific questions and get answers in real time.

This spring, we're making that possible.

I'm thrilled to announce not one, but TWO live Zoominar series launching this April - one focused on surfcasting, one on inshore boat fishing.

Whether you fish from the beach, from a boat, or both, these sessions will deliver practical, in-depth knowledge you can put to use during the upcoming 2026 season.

For Surfcasters

MFCC Surfcasting Zoominar Series - Four evening sessions in April:

  • April 15 - Ian McPartland of the Goose Hummock Shop
  • April 22 - Flats fishing expert Chris Kokorda
  • April 29 - MFCC member Calvin Toran-Sandlin
  • May 4 - Surfcasting guide Finn Hawley

Ian McPartland of the Goose Hummock Shop will be one of our instructors for the live Surfcasting Zoominar Series.

For Boat Anglers

MFCC Inshore Zoominar Series - Four evening sessions in April/May:

  • April 14 - Captain Tyler Putney of Flatliner Charters

  • April 20 - Captain Mike Fowler of Bad Dog Sportfishing

  • April 27 - Pending world record holder Captain Ian Bragdon

  • May 6 - Captain Jimmy "The Greek" Koutalakis

Captain Tyler Putney of Flatliner Charters will be one of our instructors for the live Inshore Series.

Whether you're new to Cape Cod fishing or a seasoned veteran, these aren't just lectures - they're interactive sessions where you can ask your specific questions and get real answers.

Over the coming weeks I'll be sharing:

  • Full speaker profiles and what makes each one worth your time
  • A detailed breakdown of each session
  • Information about our new Fishing Partners Directory - a tool to help you connect with fellow anglers and find a fishing buddy
  • Early Bird pricing details when registration opens March 8th

Fish both from shore and from a boat? You'll be able to register for both series at a significant discount when registration opens March 8th.

This February we launched our Tuna Zoominar Series and honestly? The energy, the Q&A, the connections anglers are making with each other and with the captains - it's everything I hoped it would be.

Now I want to deliver that same experience for both the surfcasting and inshore fishing communities.

If you've been looking for a deeper, more interactive way to prepare for the season ahead - this is it.

More details coming soon. Stay tuned.

Tight lines! 🎣
