Ready to dive into another week of fishing adventures?
We've had some great catches and stories shared recently in the members' forum, and I can't wait to highlight a few.
So, grab your favorite beverage, sit back, and let's relive some memorable moments from the past week.
Connor Curran's Adventure at Wood Neck Beach
Last Friday, 8/2, Connor Curran took to the waters off Wood Neck Beach in Falmouth with his kayak. Despite the windy conditions, Connor and his crew made the best of it.
Launching around 1 PM, they spent the afternoon drifting and bottom fishing, catching black sea bass and scup using squid as bait.
"The fish were riled up and quite ambitious, with the above blue hitting a plug almost half the size of him," Connor shared.
As the day was winding down, Connor spotted birds diving around 6:40 PM and knew they couldn't miss out on the action. Paddling over, they found themselves in the middle of a bluefish frenzy.
Switching to a topwater plug, Connor enjoyed an hour of non-stop action as the blues went wild for the lure.

Daniel Rice and "Team Damar's" Tuna Quest
On August 3rd, Danny Rice and "Team Damar" headed south of the islands to the Gulley in search of bluefin tuna. Departing at 5 AM, they navigated past the windmills and found themselves among a fleet of over 100 boats.
The morning bite was hot, with some boats catching up to six fish.
Daniel's team landed a nice 31-inch tuna early on, followed by a series of hits and misses. While the tuna bite slowed, they enjoyed a furious sea bass bite on their way back.
"We were fortunate to hook up right away and landed a nice 31-inch fish." Daniel recounted.

Patrick Yanovitch's Pogie-Packed Day in Boston Harbor
Patrick Yanovitch had an eventful outing on August 1st, navigating the pogie-filled waters of Boston Harbor.
After a successful day on the north shore, he encountered pods of broken-up pogies and capitalized on the opportunity.
Patrick went 3-for-3 in about 20 minutes by live-lining pogies. His sounder even showed an 8-foot reading in a 30+ foot area due to the dense pogie schools.
"It’s almost annoying how many pogies are in the harbor right now," Patrick remarked.

3 Foot Long Mystery Fish in Brewster
Ron Essig shared some unique news coming from Long Pond in Brewster this week...
"Not a sportfish, but a really large fish from a Cape freshwater pond. Almost three-foot dead Koi washed up on a beach in Long Pond, Brewster this morning." Ron noted.
Fellow members Jeff Richard and Rich Chouinard chimed in by saying they thought it might be a carp instead of a koi.
Specifically, Rich believes it could be a grass carp, which are abundant in the Finger Lakes region of NY where Rich lives.
