Kevin Collins

Weekly Podcast Host

Hello and welcome to another edition of the weekly My Fishing Cape Cod Podcast.

Each week throughout the fishing season, we check-in with our local experts from the Goose Hummock Shops, Canal Bait & Tackle, and Eastman's Sport & Tackle.

This week Sam Brown from the Goose is down at ICAST in Florida, and Evan from Eastman's Sport & Tackle was also unavailable to take my call.

So to make up for that, in this week's show we will dive a bit deeper with Ryan of MFCC and Jeff of Canal Bait and discuss in detail what they are seeing and hearing this week on Cape.

Ryan Collins

MFCC Founder

We kick off this show with a call to MFCC founder Ryan Collins. Ryan spent a day this past week snorkeling and filming big stripers in their natural habitat. Ryan reports good offshore action at the canyons, with lots of small stripers being caught inshore. Big bass have been tough to find this week on Cape according to what Ryan is hearing.

Jeff Miller

Canal Bait & Tackle

Next up is our good friend Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle.  Jeff provides us with a full scale, in depth canal fishing report with strategy tips for fishing the canal this weekend. According to Jeff, it looks to be a good rainy weather day today and tonight, along with good low tides making for excellent conditions at the canal. Hard work will be necessary to get any big fish inside Cape Cod Bay, and P-Town has been very quiet. Jeff also reports of bonito showing up on Islands.
