From Bay to Backside: A Full Fall Report with Sam Mullen of the Goose Hummock

As summer draws to a close and Cape Cod prepares for its legendary fall run, anglers are enjoying an uptick in activity in a variety of areas. With only days remaining before the official start of autumn on September 22nd, conditions are yielding a solid albacore, bonito, and striped bass bite in many different locations.

Cape Cod Bay: Fall Striper Action

Sam Mullen of the Goose Hummock Shop in Orleans reports Cape Cod Bay continues to be the most consistent producer of striped bass as fish begin their southward migration. According to recent reports, stripers are settling into their fall patterns throughout the bay, with productive fishing from Race Point all the way down to Sandy Neck and extending over toward Billingsgate.
