New Monomoy Tackle Prizes for the 36hr Grind Surfcasting Tournament!

by Ryan Collins

Tonight I wanted to share more new prizes that'll be up for grabs at this weekend's 36hr Grind Surfcasting Tournament.

In addition to My Fishing Cape Cod Guppy Pencil Poppers, $50 gift cards to Red Top Sporting Goods, and brand new surf rods from MajorCraft, each angler on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams will also go home with a free lure pack from Monomoy Tackle!

The first lure in the pack will be a random selection of one of Monomoy Tackle's new paddletails, in size 3/4oz or 1oz.

The second lure in the pack will be "The Dart", which works well for stripers and blues, but can also be used for false albacore.

The third lure in the pack will be "The Specter" which is a topwater spook style plug that I've personally used to catch stripers and bluefish.

I am busily working on gathering more prizes for this year's 36hr Grind Surfcasting Tournament. Plymouth Coffee Company is contributing some prizes and I have some other companies that might get involved too.

So far we have 40 teams registered for this weekend's competition!

If you haven't yet signed up for the tournament but would like to participate, then please complete the tournament signup form below to get registered - it's free for MFCC members.

Please

login or join MFCC to signup

At least one person on each team must be a member of My Fishing Cape Cod.

Remember, you don't have to compete in the tournament to attend the awards ceremony/meetup this Sunday at 8am at Sandy Neck Beach.

All are welcome to swing by Sandy Neck to meet other members and enjoy free coffee from Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters. I will also be giving away lures and prizes in a free raffle for anyone who shows up.

Plus with the incoming tide and an onshore wind, there could be good fishing from the beach right in front of where we'll be setting up. At the least I think it will be worth making a few casts!

It'd be great to see you there.

Tight lines! 🎣
