Beginning at 9:30am on Saturday December 7th, the episode Surf Fishing Cape Cod's Fall Run will be available for streaming here on the site.
This episode originally aired on NBC Sports Boston during January of 2018, and it is one of my favorite episodes!
During this trip Dave Steeves of the Goose Hummock and I encountered epic action with pencil poppers from shore with bluefish to 10+ pounds and striped bass to 25+ pounds.

Tight lines!
I would like to know what rod you are using while fishing the shores of Cape Cod. I have bought a few but I like to get everyone’s input. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and have a great Christmas
Hey Sal ? When fishing the beaches of the Cape, I usually use a 9ft rod rated for 1oz-3oz. Right now I’m using the ODM Genesis.
However I also use a smaller 7ft rod quite often as well. This past summer I used my 7ft Shimano Teramar just as often as my 9ft ODM.
Excellent! Looking forward to watching! I have 2019 still on my DVR but I lost the 2018 shows. Thanks, Happy Thanksgiving!
Roger that, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Mike! ?
