Ryan Collins
MFCC Founder
We start this episode with a call to MFCC founder Ryan Collins, who is fresh off a row boat fishing trip with one of his best buddies Garet Suomala of Barnstable. Today the guys caught keeper fluke, black sea bass, scup, blue runners and bluefish - all from the row boat! This week Ryan's been going on kayak adventures in Nantucket & Vineyard Sound for false albacore. Ryan's also encountered lots of ocean sunfish (mola molas) in Cape Cod Bay and Buzzard's Bay over the past seven days.
Evan Eastman
Eastman's Sport & Tackle
Next up is our friend Evan Eastman of Eastman's Sport & Tackle in Falmouth, MA. According to Evan, the false albacore bite is as good as it gets! From the Falmouth area to Martha's Vineyard, and up inside Buzzards Bay, the albie fishing has been fantastic.
Jeff Miller
Canal Bait & Tackle
Third in today's lineup is Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle. The Canal is a melting pot for fish right now. According to Jeff, decent sized striped bass are being caught at night by anglers using live eels. During the day anglers are witnessing blitzes of bonito and albacore. The west end is your best bet and make sure to pack plenty of long-cast epoxies.
Sam Brown
The Goose Hummock
Finishing off today's show is Sam Brown of the Goose Hummock Shops in Orleans and Dennis. Team Goose is still finding success fishing for blue fin tuna in the 90100 inch range. Lots of bluefish, albacore, and schoolie sized striped bass are still available in Nantucket Sound.
