We start this episode with a call to MFCC founder Ryan Collins, who is fresh off filming this striper blitz which occurred earlier this morning. This week Ryan fished east of the Cape for rec size bluefin tuna, and also surfcast the beaches of Cape Cod Bay at night. You can learn all about it by listening-in.
Jeff Miller
Canal Bait & Tackle
Next up is Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle. Jeff gives us a full Cape Cod Canal fishing report. According to Jeff, fishing for big bass is inconsistent, however there have been fish of up to 52 pounds caught recently. There are still lots of Albies in the canal as well.
Sam Brown
The Goose Hummock
Batting third in today's show is Sam Brown of the Goose Hummock Shops in Orleans and Dennis. Same give us a full offshore fishing report. According to Sam there are plenty of small bluefin tuna around, and there are plenty of small striped bass in Cape Cod Bay. The Goose's Dennis store is now closed for the season, but their headquarters in Orleans will remain open all winter long.
Evan Eastman
Eastman's Sport & Tackle
Finishing up today's show is our friend Evan Eastman of Eastman's Sport & Tackle in Falmouth, MA. Evan's store is conveniently located right down the street from tomorrow's StriperFest event, so swing on in to Eastman's Sport & Tackle to say hello! According to Evan, the Albie fishing is holding on down in the Falmouth area, and there are still pods of albies in Vineyard Sound. The Elizabeths have some small stripers too.
