This week I encountered thousands of schoolies while fly fishing from my kayak off Cape Cod.
We are certainly blessed to be seeing all these small stripers so late in the season! Perhaps they will stick around for a few more days – dare I say weeks!
The following kayak/fly fishing trip occurred earlier this week on the morning of Wednesday November 2nd. These fish were still here as of today.
...The striper fishing for me the past 72 hours has been challenging.
There have been some good pushes of fish through parts of the Cape (we’ll talk about that later) but for me the fishing has been very hit and miss.
On Thursday night I had this decent trip jigging on Cape with 8 bass up to 30 inches. On Friday and Saturday I decided to head off Cape and explore Plymouth Bay via kayak.
