The Fascinating Flounder

The winter flounder is also known as a "black back" and is native to the waters of New England. Both of the winter flounder's eyes are nearly always positioned on the right side of their body. They spend their time along the bottom, eating worms, clams, mussels and many other crustaceans and small fish. Winter flounder are also highly regarded for their delicious white meat.

Earlier this month I was finally successful in capturing underwater images of this amazing little fish, and today I'm happy to share the images and footage with you on My Fishing Cape Cod. Members of My Fishing Cape Cod can click here to uncover more details about where and how this footage was captured.

Tight lines and Happy Memorial Day Weekend! 🎣
