I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Tickets for our January 18th fly fishing meetup at Fishermen's View Restaurant will go on sale exactly two weeks from today at 9am sharp.

Local Cape fly fishing shore guide and expert fly tier Chris Kokorda will be our special guest.  Chris is a fantastic speaker, knowledgeable guide, and talented fly tier.

For the past 19 years, Chris has been a shore guide, casting instructor, and fly tyer on Cape Cod.

Growing up, Chris honed his fly fishing skills by exploring the waters of Connecticut. In 2006, his passion for fly fishing led him to Massachusetts where he managed the fly shop, Fishing the Cape. There, he gained experience as a professional guide and casting instructor.

For the better part of the last decade, he has also served as head instructor of the Cape Cod Saltwater Fly Fishing School.

During this event Chris will give a presentation on targeting stripers in skinny water on Cape Cod. He'll have some slides to share, and we'll do Q&A.

Towards the end of the morning Chris will give a fly tying demo!

Chris ties hundreds of flies per year for himself and clients.  In fact, last year I hired him to tie mackerel flies that I used during the Cheeky Tournament!

Chris told me he plans to bring his vice and materials, and demonstrate how he ties one of his productive crab patterns.

Crab patterns work exceptionally well for striped bass.  In particular, Chris' crab flies work great when targeting stripers over the flats.

I'm planning on setting up a camera system so even people in the back in the room will be able to watch on a screen as Chris ties all the little details of his crab pattern.

We only have 30 spots available so just make sure you're ready to go at 9am sharp on December 28th!

Coming up this week I will email you more information about the venue and what to expect. It should be a great morning.

Tight lines! 🎣
