Upcoming MFCC Events

by Ryan Collins

With spring on the horizon I wanted to post the dates of upcoming events I hope you'll be able to attend!

Looking ahead I'm hoping to add calendar functionality to the MFCC website to make it easier to keep up to speed with what's going on, but in the meantime I figure this quick list would suffice for now.

Saturdays Feb. 24-March 30:  New TV Show Episodes

Each Saturday morning through March 30th you'll receive a new episode of My Fishing Cape Cod TV delivered directly to your email inbox.  We also have over 45 previous episodes which can be accessed by members.

March 8-10:  New England Saltwater Fishing Show

My Fishing Cape Cod will have booths number 1032-1031 at the New England Saltwater Fishing Show in Providence, Rhode Island. It would be great to see you so be sure to swing by the booth! We'll have bumper stickers, hats, and a couple "show specials" that I'm keeping secret for now. 😎 In addition, I'll be hosting a seminar called "Fishing Cape Cod in 2024" Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 3pm.

March 30:  2024 Season Kickoff in Hyannis

Get ready for an action packed morning of fishing education and networking! The My Fishing Cape Cod Season Kickoff, presented by Cape & Islands Mitsubishi, will take place on Saturday March 30th and will feature professional charter captains, surfcasting experts, and a selection of local vendors. Attending the kickoff will be a great way to meet people from My Fishing Cape Cod and improve your angling skills all at the same time.

April 13:  Zoom Call with Ryan; Late April/Early May Fishing Opportunities [members only]

Members will be invited to join me for a fun Zoom call about saltwater fishing opportunities on Cape Cod during late April and early May. I will share my plans, answer questions, and share video footage of what you can expect to encounter in the weeks ahead.

April 24 7pm:  Presentation at the Concord Rod & Gun Club

I've been invited to give a presentation on the evening of April 24th at the historic Concord Rod and Gun Club. I plan on giving the same "Fishing Cape Cod in 2024" presentation but with some updates and improvements. My Fishing Cape Cod fans and members are welcome to attend!  We'll go month-by-month through a "typical" Cape Cod fishing season. Those in attendance can expect to receive plenty of tips and advice for fishing various areas throughout Cape Cod for stripers, bluefin tuna, false albacore and many other popular species.

May 4th:  Fishermen's View Tuna Meetup with special guest captain Jimmy the Greek [members only]

Join us for a fun morning of fishing talk, networking, and learning! This meetup (please only register if you are a MFCC member) will be a great opportunity to connect with other members of My Fishing Cape Cod and captain Jimmy the Greek of On Time Charters. During this meetup we will begin by introducing one another to the group. Then we'll dive into a presentation from local expert and charter captain Jimmy the Greek of On Time Charters. The focus of the meetup will be tuna. A question and answer session will follow, and we'll conclude with some free giveaways. *Members may purchase tickets for their non-member friends and family.

May 11th:  Surfcasters' Meetup and Long Distance Casting Competition [members only]

Come meet other members from My Fishing Cape Cod who fish the beach, and participate in a completely optional distance-casting competition, on Saturday May 11th at 9am at Sandy Neck Beach in Barnstable. This meetup will be a fun excuse to get together, see familiar faces and meet new people from MFCC. If you enjoy fishing Cape Cod from shore and would like to meet other people who share similar interests, then this meetup and fun competition is for you. *Members are welcome to invite their non-member friends and family.

In Conclusion

It would be awesome to see you at one of these events! I expect more events to be added to the calendar soon, so I will work on getting calendar functionality added to the site as quickly as possible.

Tight lines 🎣
