Last year, twenty women gathered on a May morning and left with new fishing partners, new techniques, and a whole lot of excitement. This spring, we're doing it again — and it's going to be even better.

Last year, twenty women gathered on a May morning and left with new fishing partners, new techniques, and a whole lot of excitement. This spring, we're doing it again — and it's going to be even better.

Join us for the Second Annual MFCC Women's Meet-Up, a morning built for female anglers of every experience level — whether you've never tied a leader or you've been surf casting the outer Cape for years.

This Year's Guest Speakers

Amy Wrightson â€” Owner of the iconic Sports Port Bait & Tackle in Hyannis, Amy grew up fishing Cape Cod waters and has been sharing that knowledge ever since. A regular on the My Fishing Cape Cod Podcast, she'll be covering spin casting from both boat and shore — gear, lures, species, and local spots.

Tammy King â€” A Nantucket native and fishing guide on the island, Tammy King has built a thriving guiding business in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Her session will focus on surf casting tactics for stripers, blues, and more. She's passionate about empowering women on the water, and it shows.

Gretchen Stiers â€” MFCC member since 2018, President of the Cape Cod Salties, and the driving force behind this event, Gretchen will be at the door to welcome you in.

Morning Itinerary

  • 8:30am — Doors open, complimentary coffee & pastries, open networking
  • 9:00am â€” Introductions: your town, your favorite type of fishing, your go-to lures
  • 9:30am â€” Amy Wrightson on spin casting Cape Cod waters
  • 10:15am â€” Tammy King on surf casting tactics for stripers, blues & more
  • 11:00am â€” Official end; the bar opens for those who want to keep the conversation going, and the kitchen opens at 11:30am

What's Included

Admission + complimentary coffee and pastries. Lunch and beverages (beyond coffee) are not included but available for purchase at the restaurant.
