Gator Bluefish in the Cape Cod Surf

Ryan Collins

Some of the biggest bluefish of the entire season have showed up the past few days here on Cape Cod.

These are "gator" bluefish over the 10 pound mark with some specimens pushing 15+ pounds.

In this post I would like to share with you another drone surfcasting video filmed by my friend Zach Lesinski of 2020skysight.com

In this clip Dave Steeves of Goose Hummock and I catch huge blues in the whipping wind, and pounding surf of this past Sunday.

Tomorrow I plan on hitting the beach again with MFCC member Jeffrey Petter in the predicted 26 knot northeast winds, rain and waves of 5+ feet.

    1. Glad you are enjoying MFCC Jay. The bass are most certainly heading your way!

When would you say the best striper action is for the Jersey Shore? I am debating doing some traveling this November/December.

    1. Hi Jeff! Glad you are enjoying MFCC.

You are located in a pretty good area for fall. As the water cools stripers become more abundant in Hyannis and the surrounding shorelines.

What beaches have you already tried fishing in that area?
