Hello and welcome to the Labor Day Weekend edition of the My Fishing Cape Cod Podcast.

This is your host Kevin Collins, and it's a pleasure to be back with you for our 21st episode of the season.

High winds and interesting weather are in the forecast for this weekend, but according to our panel of experts, you will have a very good chance of success with bass, tuna and albies - as long as the winds cooperate.

We kick off this episode with MFCC creator Ryan Collins, who has been catching bass up to 41 inches fishing from a small 12 foot tin boat. According to Ryan, the next 3 weeks is primetime for inshore fishing on Cape Cod.

Ryan also shares his tactics for surfcasting in heavy north blows (like those in this weekend's forecast). Big north blows can at times produce stellar surfcasting, as long as you can avoid the weed.

Next we hear from captain Eric Stewart from the Goose Hummock Shops in Orleans and Dennis. Eric and his crew have been hitting the offshore canyons and east of Chatham whenever weather permits. This past week Eric caught bluefin up to 280lbs on stand up gear.

In addition, Eric gives us pointers for where to find the first false albacore of the season. Plus according to Eric, good striper fishing is still happening in select spots off Outer Cape Cod.

We conclude this episode with a call to Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle. If you don't know what has been happening the past few days at the Big Ditch, then this segment with Jeff will be very valuable for you.

Jeff finishes up by providing boat anglers with an update on the bite inside Cape Cod Bay and across to Plymouth.
