Kevin Collins

Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of the My Fishing Cape Cod Podcast. This is your host, Kevin Collins.

I'm glad to be back with you for yet another week of exciting fishing on Cape Cod.

Temperatures in the region are soaring into the mid 90's and we are fresh off a beautiful full moon. We have a lot to discuss on today's podcast.

Usually these podcasts are for "members only" but for the month of July we have decided to make these podcasts available for everyone to listen to.

We begin today's show with MFCC Creator Ryan Collins.

Ryan discusses his trips from the past week, and lets us know about the valuable intel he gleaned from the My Fishing Cape Cod Forum, which he's using to plan his surfcasting trips for this weekend.

Next, we will be joined by Bryan McCarty of Martha's Vineyard.

Bryan provides us with a detailed fishing report for Martha's Vineyard and the Islands, as well as some "hot spots" worth focusing on this weekend.

We will then be joined by Captain Eric Stewart of the Goose Hummock Shops in both Orleans and Dennis.

Captain Eric has a full report on the tuna bite in the waters surrounding Cape Cod & The Islands, as well as news on a potential world record wahoo!

Lastly, Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle provides a full report on the Canal.

Jeff has some breaking news on an interesting afternoon bite, as well as what he expects is going to happen this weekend at the Big Ditch.

I hope that everyone can get out on the water this weekend and beat the heat!

Until next week's show - Tight Lines!

    • I think getting the exact beach name is a stretch, but I can attest that some much better fish are showing up along the BBAY and CCB coastlines.

I actually wrestled with my bare hands a 25-30 pounder out of 6 inches of water on Friday. The bass had a broken off leader trailing from his mouth which I grabbed – I had not even hooked the fish!

I got the whole thing on video too and will share it soon. Haven’t seen fish of this stature in these areas all year long, up until this weekend.
