Cape Cod Canal & Buzzards Bay Report with AJ Coots of Red Top

by Kevin Collins

Stripers, Squid, and Glide Baits

Early June on Cape Cod has a way of getting into your blood. The water is still cold enough to keep the bait thick and the striped bass aggressive, the mornings carry that salty chill that makes coffee taste better, and if you hit the correct tide, you might find yourself into some of the best striper fishing of the entire season. According to AJ Coots of Red Top Sporting Goods, that's exactly the situation anglers are walking into right now at the Cape Cod Canal and throughout Buzzards Bay.

In this report, AJ goes into detail on:

  • A full Cape Cod Canal Report including locations
  • How the north wind and full moon affected the Canal
  • Bait options in the canal and which plugs to use
  • Productive tides this week to fish the Canal
  • Buzzards Bay boat report for striped bass
  • Boat reports for sea bass, scup, and tautog
