We have a ton of exciting news to share with you in this show, including the latest intel on striped bass fishing in Cape Cod Bay, the shoals, the canal and elsewhere.

As always we are joined in this podcast by MFCC founder Ryan Collins and Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle. Once again, we will also check-in with our friend Sam Brown of the Goose Hummock Shops in Orleans and Dennis.

Ryan Collins

MFCC Founder

We kick off this first episode of the summer with a call to MFCC founder Ryan Collins, who was fresh off an early morning fly fishing expedition to the Lower Cape.

Ryan provides us with a full surfcasting report for areas all over Cape Cod, along with boat fishing off Provincetown and some recommendations for Buzzard's Bay and the Elizabeth Islands.

Sam Brown

The Goose Hummock

Next up we're joined by Sam Brown of the Goose Hummock Shops in Orleans and Dennis. Sam has contributed to the MFCC podcast quite a few times this season, and always provides great information.

Sam informs us that big adult pogies have moved into select areas, and tell us how you can get in on some of the best action inside Cape Cod Bay, around Provincetown, and down the backside of Cape Cod.

Jeff Miller

Canal Bait & Tackle

We will cap off today's podcast episode by checking-in with our good friend Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle for our weekly Cape Cod Canal update.

Jeff gives us the full scoop on what's been happening at the canal in the past 24 hours. He also tells us about the action in Buzzard's Bay, including where the big fish are, and how best to target them.

  • Lockjaw, was an understatement.
As of last night, the weeds were still an issue.
You really have to move around, to find clean water.
Once I found the clean water, I was able to get a dozen.
Nothing to brag about, but fun stuff.
We need to get rid of that east wind.
    Another great podcast bro.
