Giveaway closed! Congrats to our winner, 2nd year member of My Fishing Cape Cod - Kevin Touhey.

So far this spring we've been hosting one giveaway per week here on myfishingcapecod.com. Last week we gave away this Swimming Striper painting and I'm happy to announce that longtime My Fishing Cape Cod member Leslie Kalinowski won that beautiful work of art!

Today I'm excited to launch another fun giveaway, this time for an assortment of Joe Baggs Sandeels in two different colors. These lures come rigged with a single hook to make releasing striped bass quicker and easier for us anglers and the fish.

Sandeels are the most predominant summertime baitfish on Cape Cod, so these lures ought to work great this June, July and August. The Sandeels weigh 1oz which is perfect for surfcasting the beach and many other inshore striper fishing scenarios.

In addition to the 1oz Sandeels which are up today for giveaway, Joe also makes Sandeels in 2oz, 1.5oz and 5/8oz sizes in white, brown, and black/green. Plus if you are interested in fishing the canal, then consider checking out Joe's Canal Sandeel line which comes in heavier weights and larger sizes.

Entering this giveaway is simple. All you need to do is leave a comment below and your name will be automatically included in the drawing.

I will randomly select the winner next week on Thursday June 9th and I will post the winner's name to the top of this article.

Good luck and tight lines! 🎣

  • Thank you Ryan for all of the great info you share with us. I really appreciate all of Lauren’s recipes as well. Keep up the good work!

  • Love the variety of fish you cover in your weekly emails.

  • Ryan, really appreciate all of your insight. Looking forward to another great striper season on the Cape!

  • These Sandeel soft plastics are great! I’ve used both the 5/8 and 1 oz. and they are very durable compared to some of the other Sandeel imitations out there.
