Tarpaulin Cove Light | Drone Video

Ryan Collins

Yesterday morning while fishing along the Elizabeth Islands I took a moment to capture historic Tarpaulin Cove Light on drone. It was a gorgeous sight!

The light was originally constructed in 1759 and has undergone many changes over the years. Hurricanes have destroyed certain parts and the main tower was replaced in 1891.

Yesterday my friend Jay Mazzola and were fishing for albies in Tarpaulin Cove and I filmed this drone video at around 8:00am. Please click play below to watch! ?

The Elizabeth Islands are one of my favorite places to explore. The islands themselves are private, so it is not possible to explore the islands on foot.

However, if you have access to a boat (and if the weather cooperates) then a day spent exploring the rocky shorelines of the Elizabeths will be a day to remember.

If you would like to learn more about how the fishing was for Jay and I yesterday, then please click here to read my latest forum post. Yesterday Jay and I fished all along the Elizabeths and over at the Vineyard in search of albies and bonito.

Tight lines! ?
