I woke up this morning at 3:39AM – exactly one minute before my alarm was set to go off. I stepped outside to dead calm conditions. There was not a breath of wind and the stars were shining bright. I could tell it was going to be a very nice morning.

...I can hear the wind tearing across Cape Cod Bay as I write this Cape Cod fishing report. It feels like a winter night here, and it sounds like one too. 46 degree waves are smashing the shoreline and the rain is pelting down – today would not be a good day for the boat.
...I soon learned that casting a small Yo-Zuri or 3 inch Storm Shad into a 30 mph breeze is quite difficult. The deepest part of the channel I was fishing was located a good 30 yards offshore. Small lures were not going to cut it.
