Fishing with Kids

Cape Cod is a phenomenal place to take the kids fishing.

How do I know?  Well I don't have any kids of my own, however I have been fishing all over Cape Cod since the age of 6.  Fortunately I had a great Dad who had no problems taking me to the Cape Cod Canal, Barnstable Harbor, the beaches of Falmouth, Sandwich, Provincetown....the list goes on and on.

In other words, I was very fortunate to have grown up being able to regularly fish such an awesome place.

Cape Cod is chock full of fantastic "kid friendly" fishing opportunities.  Lets be honest-most kids aren't willing to wait around 10 plus hours for a potential bite from a bluefin tuna.  When I was young, all I cared about was regular and consistent action with fish of any size.

This section of My Fishing Cape Cod is dedicated to helping parents and their kids catch fish.  Don't expect to find articles on kite fishing for giant tuna, but do expect to find easily accessible fishing spots and simple fishing techniques geared towards making it easier for Dad or Mom to get junior in on some fun fishing.

Over the next few months you'll notice more and more "Fishing with Kids" posts popping up in this section.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Have fun and go catch some big ones!
