Giveaway closed! Congrats to our winner - Kevin Malloy! Stay tuned for more fun giveaways coming soon to My Fishing Cape Cod.

So far this spring we've been hosting one giveaway per week here on myfishingcapecod.com. Last week we gave away a Joe Mangiafico Boker Plus "The Brook" knife and I'm happy to announce that second year My Fishing Cape Cod member Greg Spear of West Springfield, MA won that prize!

Today I'm excited to launch another fun giveaway, this time for a Shimano TranX 200AHG casting reel and an assortment of freshwater bass lures from the Goose Hummock Shop and their online store TheMightyFish.com

The Shimano TranX 200AHG casting reel is valued at $209 and comes spooled with 15 pound Power Pro braid. This is a great reel for freshwater bass fishing on Cape Cod, and you could probably even use it for stripers, bluefish, fluke and albies.

Also included is an assortment of freshwater bass fishing lures from BOOYAH, Savage Gear, YUM, Hyperlastics, Thomas Buoyant and the Goose Hummock Shop Pro Series.

All members and fans of My Fishing Cape Cod are welcome to enter this giveaway by simply leaving a comment below. 👇👇👇

I will draw the random winner one week from today on Monday June 27th and I will display the winner's name at the top of this blog post.

Good luck and tight lines! 🎣

Congrats!

The winner of this giveaway is Kevin Malloy. Stay tuned for more giveaways coming soon!

I'm fortunate to have grown up on the beach, and I've been fishing since kindergarten. I have great family, friends and fishing experiences to be thankful for. Just being out there is enough-catching fish is just a bonus!

  • New to MFCC. Grew up on CC and getting back into fishing with now frequent trips out to Cuttyhunk for stripers, blues and Black sea bass. I am excited to re-engage with the community. Thanks.

  • My fiance & I take road trips with the pups to Upstate, NY to go fishing. This Summer we are going to venture out further and visit other fishing spots.

  • Fishing brings back such great memories of childhood… all the hours I spent sitting on our dock in Florida, catching bass and watching skiers, etc.

  • Your commentary on the west current is spot on. I know more places that produce on the west vs. those that produce on the east.

  • Anyone new to fishing the Cape or just want learn more about fishing in general, this site is great!

Kudos to Ryan and to all who contribute to the forum, etc.

Oh yes… I could use another reel!

  • Ryan, I have been reading your fishing reports and just like to read what you say. I have been fishing in the ocean since i was 11. I worked on the deep sea boats in Hampton and really enjoyed fishing the ocean. From catching steaka Cod fish, to blue fin tuna. Keep up the great work Ryan.

  • Nice once you see whales move away they are coming all bait fish is being eaten and the other preitors are leaving

  • From westchester NY Been going to the Cape for 40 years. Always had great fishing 🎣 trips. Like fishing off a lot of the peers they offer. The fresh water fishing is also good fishing. Everybody have a good summer.

  • This is my first time entering one of your give aways. I look forward to many more. Thanks for the opportunity .

  • I’m in. I’m thinking albies! My Shimano Symetre spinning combo was a blast with the albies last fall. This would be a nice complement!

  • I’m excited to enter the giveaway! I just recently went on my first trip to the Cape this summer and went fishing out of Hyannis on the Stray Cat and caught my first 40″ Striper! Of course, it was too big for a keeper so we had to let it go. But, that was exciting! Looking forward to going back soon! Thanks for your great emails!
