In today's episode we interview Ryan Collins of MFCC who's currently surfcasting along the Osa Peninsula in rural Costa Rica. We also get an ice fishing forecast from the guys at the Goose Hummock Shop in Orleans, and a 2022 fluke fishing outlook from MFCC member Bruno Demir of Cape & Islands Mitsubishi.

    Bruno mentioned the fluke fishing and it’s never to early to think about that. Bruno mentioned the reels he uses. These high speed, low profile bait casters are great. Daiwa, Penn, Shimano, Abu Garcia, Lews, Okuma all make a version and they often come with power handles. Some have thumb bars which are great for fluke when you are in free spool or have to let your jig back down quickly. If people want to get in on those reels I would just make sure that you get one that will hold up to salt water. You can rinse them. It the saltwater built ones will do better. Tight lines everybody.
