Hello everyone! I hope you're doing well, and have been able to catch some nice fish this season at the Cape Cod Canal.
Earlier this season I fished with Joe D'Agostino, founder of Joe Baggs Tackle. You can read all about that morning in a post I wrote by clicking here.
As Joe and I fished, he explained some of his go-to techniques when jigging the Cape Cod Canal. He was also kind enough to provide MFCC with a video tutorial detailing a few of those specific techniques.

Canal Jigging Technique Video Tutorial
Below, you'll find a video I filmed breaking down the specifics of Joe's canal jigging techniques. Some of them are a bit different from the standard jigging technique of large, rhythmic upward pulls of the rod.
Next time I'm at the ditch, I'm definitely going to experiment with my jigging technique. The techniques Joe explained cover many different portions of the water column, which can help coax bites from fish that aren't feeding on top.

There are plenty of great fishing opportunities to look forward to this month at the Cape Cod Canal. This July should be a good one, as more and more large bass filter into the Cape & Island's area.
I hope you enjoyed the video, and tight lines everyone!
Old but great video – new to me since I just joined the portal 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Also, got my tackle box full of Joe Baggs creations recently 🙂
Sounds awesome Mariusz. I’m sure you’ll put those Joe Baggs lures to good use. Keep us posted!
A real quick look at your site and I have to say Fantastic work people . Can’t wait to be back on Cape 8-28 to 9-11 visiting family and friends and of course throwing a few lines
Thanks for the kind words! Early Septemeber is certainly a great time to visit and fish Cape Cod. Best of luck out there!
