Joseph D'Agostino, owner of JoeBag​​​​gs Tackle, has generously contributed several different types of jigs and lures as prizes for this year's My Fishing Cape Cod fishing derby.
You might recall seeing some of Joe's lures in season #1 of My Fishing Cape Cod TV. In particular, his 5oz Patriot Fish has been a canal favorite for a lot of members here on the site.
As prizes for this year's derby Joe has contributed several different styles of lures, including the Patriot Fish, the Freedom Fish and JoeBaggs Sandeels.

Pictured below is the assortment of Patriot Fish which will be awarded to winners of specific categories in this year's derby.
In particular the green mackerel Patriot Fish was very popular during 2017 at the canal when the mackerel were running.
Up next are the Freedom Fish, which have a wider profile. These lures imitate a wide variety of different baits which striped bass prey upon.
Last but not least are the JoeBaggs Sandeels (plus one green mackerel Patriot Fish that snuck into the photo). The JoeBaggs Sandeels were created to imitate sandeels, which are the most prolific bait on Cape Cod.
Joe's lures are very popular at the Cape Cod Canal, but they are also effective out in the boat or on the kayak. His lighter 1oz and 2oz lures can also be fished from the beach.
The My Fishing Cape Cod derby begins May 1st and will run until 11:59PM on October 31st. There are several different categories and levels of prizes up for grabs.

Jeff I have good news for you!
Throughout this season we will have many random prize drawings, so you don’t have to win the derby to have a chance at winning lures and other prizes.
As long as you submit a striper of at least 36 inches to the derby, you will be eligible to win one of these random drawings ??
