This past Monday I sent out an email about how Fishing for the Mission 22 and the MFCC community will be offering sponsored memberships to veterans throughout the 2025 season.
Today I planned on drawing the first 3 sponsored membership winners. However, I'm happy and humbled to announce that since sending out that email on Monday, several members of My Fishing Cape Cod reached out me asking to sponsor more veteran memberships.
So instead of drawing 3 winners, we were able to draw a total of 9 sponsored membership winners!

As I mentioned on Monday, I'm really excited about this strategic partnership between My Fishing Cape Cod and Fishing for the Mission 22, a dedicated non-profit organization that harnesses the therapeutic power of fishing to support veteran wellness and recovery.
Fishing for the Mission 22 works tirelessly to address a critical issue: the devastating loss of 22 or more veterans daily to suicide in the United States. This sobering statistic underscores the crucial importance of providing meaningful support to our veteran community.
Through this collaboration, MFCC will leverage its platform to create a dedicated space where veterans can forge connections through their shared passion for fishing.
As an initial step, thanks to our sponsors and contributions from My Fishing Cape Cod members, we will be distributing complimentary MFCC memberships to veterans throughout the 2025 season.
To enhance this initiative, I'll be creating a specialized place within our forum to help facilitate connections amongst veterans who like to fish. Throughout the year, we will organize various events, meetups, and fishing expeditions designed to strengthen our veteran fishing community.
Veterans interested in future membership opportunities will be able to apply through a forthcoming application process with Fishing for the Mission 22. Details will be distributed via email once the system is operational.
