Yesterday morning more than 100 people from My Fishing Cape Cod met up at the Brookside Club in Bourne for our 2020 MFCC Breakfast.

The crowd consisted men, women and kids. Some of the people in attendance have been fishing on Cape Cod for many years, while other people were just starting out.

The vibe was really positive and the energy was flowing. Everyone seemed excited about the 2020 season! I had an amazing time talking with so many of you, and I can't thank you enough for making this event a success!

The breakfast was a great opportunity to meet other anglers from MFCC.

We had an awesome crowd!

At the breakfast we held a charity raffle which consisted of some really nice prizes. All of the prizes were donated by members of My Fishing Cape Cod.

The beneficiary of the raffle money was the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center. The outreach center serves hundreds of veterans and their families living throughout the Cape and Islands.

Thanks to you guys we were able to raise $2,205!

Steve O'Malley (left) and Dom Maitino (right) each took home a Penn30VSW rod/reel combo-an anonymous donation from a member of MFCC.

Jim Passeck (right) won a gorgeous brook trout drawing from Anthony Besaw (left). Anthony drew the brook trout specifically for this event. Thanks Anthony!

Below are some more photos of the event, which I just posted to the My Fishing Cape Cod Instagram page.

The $2,205 which we raised at the breakfast is a terrific accomplishment and I cannot thank you all enough for your generosity!

The outreach center relies on the support of local businesses, schools, and organizations like MFCC to help them maintain essential services, such as providing housing to homeless veterans on Cape Cod.

The Town of Dennis, and the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center, along with community supporters, are working together to build a new, five-bedroom home for otherwise homeless veterans, right within the neighborhoods for which they served.

If you have some extra money in your budget, then I invite you to think about making a donation.

Recurring monthly donations are particularly appreciated. I actually just committed to donating $50/month and I feel great about it!

If you are in a position to give then it would be wonderful to have you join us in supporting the Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center!

You can setup your monthly donation here.

Tight lines! ?
