2020 Block Island Surfcasting Trip Details & Information

This is the time of year I start thinking about the upcoming surfcasting season, and counting the days until the striped bass return.

This season you are invited to join what has become a rapidly expanding family of dedicated surfcasters with a special bond to our sport and one another.

I have again rented Bluff House on Block Island for two weeks during the prime fishing season in 2020. I have one week at the end of June and another in the beginning of September. We are almost completely booked for the June 21-June 28 trip, but we still have openings for September 1-September 9.

Bluff House Overlooking Southwest Bar

Bluff House, which overlooks Southwest Bar (the most famous surfcasting spot on the island) is our base of operations.

You can walk down the path in the photo (below left) and be fishing within minutes!

Here's the reaction from MFCC member Gary Routenberg, upon seeing the Bluff House for the first time! ?
