Yesterday afternoon I set off around 3pm to do some more kayaking and fishing for holdover stripers on Cape Cod.
Over the weekend I had success catching my first striper of 2024, so I was eager to get back out there and give it another try.
However, this time I figured I would explore a new region, instead of fishing the same spot. Specifically, I decided to fish the estuary shown below.

Conditions were cool but pleasant, with a moderate breeze and partly sunny skies.
The area was wild with little shoreline development. I let out a big sigh and breathed in the crispy salty air. It felt so good to be out in nature and I had the entire area all to myself.

Based on the look of the area I figured I would have a good chance of encountering holdover stripers and perhaps some white perch.
I set my lines off the stern and began trolling down the shoreline, eager and excited to see what might happen next!
