Cape Cod Fishing Report for June 8th

This is going to be a short and quick report because I'm exchausted!

This morning I hit the water just after sunrise with Mike of Tackle2ThePeople. On my first drop of the sabiki rig I caught two tinker mackerel in about 60 feet of water northeast of the area shown below.

However, the mackerel bite proved slow so we moved west. About an hour later we found tinker and medium size mackerel in 45-50 feet of water north of this area.

We then beached the boat and fished flats and sandbars from shore using the live mackerel. We got some chases and smacks from small fish but that was it.

Luckily we stuck it out and during the incoming tide we caught a dozen bass between 25-42 inches on live mackerel fishing a rock pile in this area.

Overall it was a fun trip and an absolute beauty of a day to be on the water. Good luck if you head out this weekend and be sure to stay tuned for a new podcast publishing tomorrow morning!
