In this video, I would like to show you the 2020 Surfcaster's Thread, which was started earlier in the season by veteran MFCC member Mike Marcus.
The intel I gleaned from this thread helped me to have two epic nights of fishing from the beaches of Outer Cape Cod this past week.

Tight lines
I am in Dennis, MA right now trying to figure out the best course of action for shore fishing and rental kayak fishing. I hear the bass river or scar go lake is good. Just trying to get my son into some action while on vacation. He is too young to stay up late for the midnight bite.
Hey Dwight ?? I’m not sure where on Cape you could rent a kayak, but it could be worth a shot to ask the guys from the Goose Hummock in Orleans.
For freshwater fishing, I really like the ponds of Nickerson State Park. There are some really nice trails and spots all around Flax and Cliff Pond. For saltwater fishing, you could try Chapin Beach at high tide for stripers using lures, or you could try the fish pier at Smuggler’s Beach with squid for scup and other small fish.
If you need tackle, then the guys at the Goose Hummock can help. They might also have some recommendations for fishing in that area. I hope this reply helps at least a little. LMK! Tight lines ?
I’m all in Ryan!!
Where have all the bluefish gone?
I know over the past week there’s been a lot of bluefish in Buzzard’s Bay (mostly small ones) and some larger ones in Cape Cod Bay. They have been mostly feeding beneath the birds.
I’m in. Need this badly for a great fall run
