Night Fishing The Beaches Of Outer Cape Cod | Video

It has been nearly 1 year since I fished the beaches of Lower Cape Cod with MFCC members Jim Murphy and Chas Salmon.

Last year's trip with Jim and Chas turned out to be quite memorable. We caught plenty of fish from shore and enjoyed some gorgeous weather.

It has also been nearly 1 year since I again fished the beaches of Lower Cape Cod with my friend and well-known surfcaster Danya Mahota.

During that special trip with Danya we fished from 10PM - 2AM, casting into a stiff onshore wind with bright clear stars above, and caught bass up to 18 pounds.

My point is that right now through the month of June can be a magical time for fishing the wild stretches of beach throughout Outer Cape Cod. Sure it takes a great deal of work to find the fish, but the scenery makes it all worthwhile.

For all those reasons and more, I am planning to fish the beaches of Lower Cape Cod on foot and in the kayak, this Tuesday - Thursday. Stay tuned to the MFCC Facebook page for current updates.

Last week I had the opportunity to explore and fish a very famous piece of Lower Cape Cod coastline with Danya Mahota, and I captured the experience on video.

  • Exactly what I was thinking of doing at some point in the next week or so–I have next week off. In fact, I was thinking of hitting that same spot as last year. Hopefully, there’ll be something on the larger side out there.
