In this video, we go underwater for a unique view of a striped bass as it zones-in to investigate a chunk of mackerel.

I filmed this footage during the 2019 season and it ended up being one of my favorite clips.

In this video I am using frozen mackerel which had been in my freezer for about four weeks.

The bait was far from fresh, and I think that might be why this bass refused to eat the chunk at the last second.

Frozen bait is better than nothing, but thanks to video clips like this one, I always recommend using the freshest bait possible. ?
