June 17-20 My Fishing Cape Cod Surfcasting Trip

This June is shaping up to be a terrific month for surfcasting on Cape Cod. Bass are here in bulk and they are swimming close to shore.

Of course things can change quickly in the fishing world! The fish are here now but who knows how long they will stick around for.

Nevertheless I want to organize a group surfcasting trip for sometime between June 17-20 to take advantage of this good bite while it lasts.

How This Will Work

With more than 600 members here on MFCC I obviously cannot take everyone on a trip like this! So what I am going to do is invite 2 people in as fair a way as possible.

For this trip I will be inviting:

  • A current MFCC member who has been integral to helping grow MFCC and make this site a friendly place to be online (there are many!!!)
  • A brand new MFCC member who joins before this Tuesday June 16th

If you have been thinking about joining MFCC, then watch the below video to see how you could win a spot on this trip.

Usually the surfcasting for stripers on Cape Cod becomes much more difficult during July and August when the fish move off to deep water. I would absolutely love to take advantage of the good fishing we are experiencing right now before it ends.

The last time I organized a trip like this we caught around 20 fish during the middle of the night on a remote section of Cape beach. There are no guarantees in fishing but I have a feeling our chances will be quite good!

Tight lines and take care,

Ryan

  • Seems like you are starting to do more of these trips, keeping members even more involved and giving them an opportunity to meet you. Good job and keep up the great work!

  • Would love to go but only arriving to the upper Cape July 20. Looks like the possibility of catching big strikers from shore is starting to go down, but what about smaller strikers and also blues. How are the blues doing this year?

    • Perhaps next time Mark!

It’s very possible to catch some nice stripers and bluefish right now and it could get even better.

I personally have only caught 1 bluefish!

Others are fairing better with the blues off the southside of the Cape.

  • Oh man I’m here from New York from the 16th until the 20th! Absolutely joining for the chance to fish with you and to learn about fishing the Cape.
    Thanks for the opportunity!
