Breakfast Itinerary
MFCC member Dex Chadsey just texted me to let me know that migratory schoolie stripers are being caught from shore in Rhode Island. The fish could hit Cape Cod any day now!
Right now is the perfect time for us to get-together, and for me to let you know what MFCC has in store for you during the upcoming 2016 season.
As mentioned above, this breakfast is being held at the Brookside Club in Bourne, MA.
The easiest way to get to Brookside from off-Cape is to go over the Bourne Bridge and continue south down Route 28.
Brookside will be on your right, directly behind the Toyota dealership, just a few minutes drive from the bridge.
Here is the breakfast itinerary:
- 9am - doors open
- 9:30am - buffet is served
- 10:30am - MFCC community update, 2016 season plans & goals
- 11:00am - raffle winners
- 11:30am - OPTIONAL viewing of the pilot episode of our new show Surfcasting the World
Of course you are free to come and go as you please. Whatever works best for you and your schedule!
The pilot episode of Surfcasting the World will recap my 27 mile surfcasting trek along the beaches of Outer Cape Cod. The running time is 23 minutes.
Here is the trailer for the episode:
Raffle Prizes

So far My Fishing Cape Codders have raised $2,666 for non-profit organizations like A Baby Center Cape Cod and the Wounded Warrior Project. We have also made an ongoing commitment to donate $100/month to each of these organizations.
At this breakfast our raffle will be used to raise money for Project Healing Waters, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.
We will also be donating money to the 2016 Hope Health Walk for Alzheimers. Our very own 3 year MFCC member and contributor Ryan Franklin is helping to organize this walk. We are pumped to be able to help support the efforts of one of our supporting members!
Some of the prizes up for raffle include:
- A Van Staal 150 spinning reel
- A spot onboard our July 1st group striper trip
- A night time surfcasting trip for sharks
Plus more!
In conclusion I think this upcoming breakfast will be the best breakfast we have ever had. These events are fantastic opportunities to meet other anglers and expand your personal fishing network.
I hope to see you there!
