Hello and welcome to another edition of the MFCC Podcast.

This is your host Kevin Collins and it's a pleasure to be back with you for the 18th episode of the 2016 season.

We have an action packed show for you this week so let's get down to it!

First up we touch base with MFCC Creator Ryan Collins, as he was fishing on his boat the Miss Loretta. When we spoke with Ryan he was using his boat to recon for upcoming surfcasting and kayak trips.

I also just learned that Ryan and his father Jake caught bass up to 44 pounds just hours after recording this podcast. The largest Ryan knows of being caught recently is a monstrous 56 pounder.

Ryan also wanted to let all MFCC members know there are now more spots available on upcoming group fishing trips for striped bass and false albies, which you can learn about by clicking here

Next we catch up with captain Eric Stewart from the Goose Hummock Shops in Orleans and Dennis. Eric is prepping to fish the Big Game Battle and is debating either heading to the canyons or staying more local, depending on the weather.

Aside from tuna, captain Eric also lets u know what is happening east of Chatham. Anglers targeting striped bass are apparently still doing well, especially with vertical jigs.

We then connect with Martha's Vineyard resident Brian McCarty who fills us in on the fishing around the Vineyard. Brian also fished with MFCC intern Andrew Burke which you can read more about by clicking here.

In addition to surfcasting around the Vineyard, Brian lets us know what is happening in the bonito and fluke fishing world. Brian also touches on shark and tuna fishing around the island.

As always we close out the show with Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle. Apparently everyone coming into the shop this week has a big smile on their face because the fishing in the Ditch has been solid.

Jeff provides us with crucial information regarding the most productive tides the past few days in the canal. He also shares the areas which have been most consistent.
