Last summer we began to expand the MFCC website into offshore fishing for yellowfin tuna, bigeye tuna, mahi mahi and a variety of other exciting species you typically only encounter out at the Canyons.
My Fishing Cape Codders Andrew Massard and Mike Starr lead the charge by making multiple trips offshore, and then sharing their experience by publishing reports to the site.
Today I am happy to hear that Andrew is back offshore, taking advantage of this nice weather window. Fortunately for us Andrew plans on writing up a report or two, which he will publish this week to MFCC.

To get an idea of what offshore fishing is like, I definitely recommend watching this video which Andrew and Mike created during the 2014 season. During this particular offshore expedition the guys fished Hydrographer's Canyon and boated 8 yellowfin tuna and 10 mahi.
You can read Andrew's written account of this trip by clicking here, or you can check out all Andrew's offshore reports by viewing our offshore fishing category.
Good luck out there guys! And stay safe. I am really looking forward to hearing how things go.
Tight lines and catch 'em up,
Ryan

Awesome fish.
The only time I have caught Mahi Mahi was when I was down to Florida.
I think they got some mahi during their trip this past weekend George…report to come soon.
I saw a tuna breach the water, had to be a tuna could have been a mola but feel it was a tuna , between Scorton Ledge and the Parking Lot yesterday as I took a look with binocs from the parking lot at Sandy neck around 9 in morning was very close to shore.
Stick boats were out deeper
I believe it.
I’ve heard of numerous giants taken in the 400-900lb class over the past several days.
It looks like the giants have definitely arrived.
What a great video! Catchy tune selection was perfect!
And I’m happy to report that Andrew and Mike had a great trip this past weekend, with blue marlin up to 400lbs!
Andrew will publish his report very soon to MFCC.
