Weekly Podcast Host

Welcome to another episode of the weekly My Fishing Cape Cod podcast.

Big albies, Spanish mackerel and bonito were hitting hard this morning, and striped bass as large as 30+ pounds have also been caught this week.

The bluefin tuna bite has also been very good this past week, and the commercial quota is filling up fast. Please click here to download this podcast, or scroll below to learn more about what to expect! ?

Ryan Collins

MFCC Founder

We kick off this  episode with a call to MFCC founder Ryan Collins. We spoke with Ryan live while he was out fishing in the kayak for albies, bonito and Spanish mackerel. Ryan also provides us with a promising surf casting report for stripers inside Cape Cod Bay.

Jeff Miller

Canal Bait & Tackle

Next up is our good friend Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle. According to Jeff the canal has really picked up post-hurricane Dorian. Water clarity after the storm has not been bad at all. Fish have moved in from the north and are feeding heavy. The full moon this weekend make for excellent conditions for a nighttime eel bite.

Evan Eastman

Eastman's Sport & Tackle

We cap off today's podcast episode with a call to Evan Eastman of Eastman's Sport & Tackle in Falmouth, MA. Albie fishing is off the hook down in Falmouth and throughout Vineyard and into Nantucket Sounds. According to Evan it's been the best albacore fishing in years, as fish are finally much easier to hook and are crashing larger baits. Also, a school of bigger bass has moved into the area, providing anglers with the first "fall run" of stripers.
