In this podcast you will learn about the influx of massive pogie schools, how the fishing has been at the Cape Cod Canal, an update on the tuna bite, as well as the first successful brown shark outings of the season.

As always we are joined in this podcast by MFCC founder Ryan Collins and Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle. We're once again joined by Sam Brown of the Goose Hummock Shops in Orleans & Dennis.

Ryan Collins

MFCC Founder

We kick off this week's episode with a call to MFCC founder Ryan Collins, who provides us with a full striped bass fishing report for the Cape Cod Bay area.

Ryan also discusses targeting brown sharks from the beach, as well as the status of MFCC Group Trips to Costa Rica coming up in the next few months.

Jeff Miller

Canal Bait & Tackle

Next up is our good friend Jeff Miller of Canal Bait & Tackle. We talk with Jeff each and every week on the podcast for the latest intel about what's happening at the Cape Cod Canal.

During our call with Jeff you will get the freshest canal intel, including a full report for both the east and west end. The fishing has certainly picked up with the full moon tides.

Sam Brown

The Goose Hummock

We will cap off today's podcast episode by visiting Sam Brown of the Goose Hummock Shops in Orleans and Dennis, who you might recognize from season #1 of My Fishing Cape Cod TV on NBC SportsBOSTON.

This week Sam provides us with a full report of the offshore fishery in the Canyons, Stellwagen, and East of Chatham. He also touches on surfcasting the Cape's south-facing beaches.

  • Interesting pod cast. I went to Goose Hummock/Dennis for the first time a week or so ago. I was pleasantly surprised when Simeon fixed the tip of my husbands rod right then and there! Very inexpensive too! The Dennis store is a convenient location.
